They will also distribute winter coats and other cold-weather clothing for men, women, and children.
Bridgeport Rescue Mission is asking for donations of food and warm clothing. The food items they most need are 12- to 15-pound frozen turkeys, boxes of stuffing, canned green beans, peas and corn.
Financial donations are also helpful. It takes only $2.50 for them to provide a meal to one person.
Bridgeport Rescue Mission asks that food donations be made by Monday. Donors can drop off items at the Mission’s Donation Center, 1069 Connecticut Ave., unit 2B.
The Great Thanksgiving Project distribution will take place Nov. 18 – 23 at Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
In addition, they will distribute food and clothing at Grace Baptist Church in South Norwalk on Nov. 19 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.; Nov. 20 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., and Nov. 21 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
